ClickOnce Master Launch Problem in PROXY Pro RAS - Status: FIXED

Hello Friends of Proxy Networks,

We’re writing to communicate a problem that affects users of the ClickOnce Master, one of our client-less connection windows for remote access that appears when a connection to a Host is launched from the Web Console on a Windows machine. [This is different from the HTML5rc in-browser connection option.]

ClickOnce is a Microsoft technology that allows us to launch our connection window from a browser to provide users with a full remote desktop experience, and requires a browser extension plugin for both Chrome and Edge.  The Meta4 ClickOnce Helper extension version 1.3, released January 19, 2023, changed some internal configuration parameters in a way that prevented PROXY Pro Web Console from detecting its presence.  Note that this issue only pertains to the Meta4 extension; no other extensions are affected.

We have produced and published a zip file with a patch that will enable the PROXY Pro Web Console to recognize the new version of this extension.

Here is the link to the zip file:  https://us2.hostedftp.com/Cdaqy9BrGyS6klJCoBxR504aE

Simply copy the "Web" folder in this zip file to your PROXY Pro Web Console program directory, normally C:\Program Files (x86)\Proxy Networks\WebConsole".  You will prompted to replace an existing file, and will get a User Access Control prompt to do so (writing to that directory requires administrative rights).

Note very well that this patch is compatible with all builds/releases of PROXY Pro Web Console v10.4 or v10.5, although we recommend upgrading to the latest available release (currently v10.5 Hotfix#2a) when possible.  This issue will be fixed in the v10.5 Hotfix #3 release in early 2023.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and we’ll post again once our next version is available.  Thank you!
